University Life

RDU was established to preserve and bequeath to the younger generation Mr. Denktaş’ legacies and ideas about economic, social, educational, religious, and cultural rights of minorities, human dignity, self-determination and peaceful coexistence between different peoples.

Event and Traditions

While Rauf Denktaş University prepares its students for their professional business life with the academic programs it offers for their education, it is our mission to lead them throughout their education and career journeys in achieving their goals; With the belief that education is a continuous development journey in all areas of life, it aims to support the cultural and artistic development of its students and make them a valuable part of the society.

Social Life

Our student societies, clubs and events embody such our ambition to provide students with the opportunity to engage in extracurricular activities and develop generic learning skills such as leadership and team work. RDU hosts a canteen in each of its buildings in which students can dine with very reasonable student prices. In addition to dispenser machines located in each building, students may also enjoy passing time together in the University’s café. Facilities are also made available for those who would like to fulfill their religious obligations.

RDU provides students with the opportunity to engage in extracurricular activities and develop generic learning skills such as leadership and team work. Our student societies, clubs and events embody such an ambition as they provide the necessary environment for personal development.

Transportations

There are many options to travel in the campus.

The central location of RDU campus allows students living in the various parts of Nicosia or other cities to come to school via a wide range of transportation means such as public buses, taxis, etc. RDU also provides students with free transportation between the campus and some selected areas of Nicosia. Our school buses work morning and evening to cover two main routes.

City Center

Route 1 goes from Kyrenia Gate, passes through Ortaköy, and ends in front of RDU Dormitory in Gönyeli meanwhile Route 2 covers Kyrenia Gate, Küçük Kaymaklı, and Hamitköy.

New Campus

RDU has launched its new campus project. The campus construction is in Nicosia’s Alayköy area. RDU secured a 153,870 meter square of land where its new Campus will be built with plans to initiate construction in 1-2 years’ time. The new campus will be designed and equipped with the latest technology. The place is only 15-20 minutes’ drive, outside Nicosia towards Guzelyurt, on the main highway.
